At Rosley CE School we feel strongly about the importance of good attendance. We encourage 100% attendance for all of our children. Breaks in their time at school can be very disruptive to the continuity of learning. Holidays taken in term time are not encouraged and you can view a letter regarding this from the Director of Children’s Services below:

Often, attendance is reported in % form which can be misinterpreted. Below is an example of what they approximately mean in real terms:
To request an authorised absence during term time, please download the following form and hand it into the school office:
Please note only exceptional circumstances will be authorised.
If your child is absent from school due to illness, we ask that you ring us on the first morning of the sickness before 9.00a.m. We also ask parents to write a letter covering the period of absence when your child returns to school.
